Folsom Cordova Unified School District (FCUSD) was formally recognized at the California Association of Supervisors of Child Welfare and Attendance (CASCWA) State Conference on April 28, 2025, in Orange County, where the District was awarded the prestigious 2025 Model SARB Recognition Award for Excellence in Student Attendance.

This honor is a testament to FCUSD’s exceptional commitment to improving student attendance through early intervention, professional development, family engagement, and fostering school connectedness. The California Department of Education recognized FCUSD as one of only 19 School Attendance Review Boards (SARBs) statewide for exemplary practices in addressing persistent attendance and behavior issues.

The District’s focus on preventive and restorative strategies, as well as support for independent study students and those impacted by health-related absences, ensures that no student is left behind.

A special congratulations to Scott Meyer, FCUSD’s Director of Behavior Intervention & Student Services, who serves as the 2025 SARB Chairperson. His leadership and unwavering dedication have been instrumental in helping students and families receive the support they need to succeed.
