Folsom Chapter of National Charity League, Inc. celebrates their annual Mother-Daughter Tea and Senior Recognition
The Folsom Chapter of the National Charity League, (NCL), the nation’s premier mother-daughter volunteer organization, recently held their annual Mother-Daughter Tea and Senior Recognitionat the Granite Bay Golf Club. In attendance were over 190 members of the Folsom chapter which includes mothers and daughters in grades 7ththrough 12th. The tea is an annual tradition dating back to 1947 and serves as a framework to cultivate NCL’s core values and strengthen the mother-daughter bond while practicing the art of etiquette.
The graduating class of 2025 were honored during their Senior Recognition with acknowledgment of completing the 6-year core program from 7th through 12th grade and awards for service hours. Lameese Batarseh received the highest honor for completing the most philanthropy hours throughout her entire NCL experience, completing just over 400 hours volunteering in our community. In addition, three members received the Folsom NCL chapter Modellete award.

The Modelette award recognizes Ticktockers (daughters) who exemplify the NCL, Inc. mission, focusing on community service, leadership development, and cultural experiences. These three recipients were Lameese Batarseh (Senior), Prachi Meghani (Senior), Delilah Simmons (Junior).
Established in Los Angeles in 1925, and incorporated in 1958, National Charity League, Inc. is the nation’s most distinctive, well-respected mother-daughter non-profit organization. By incorporating mission-based programming, National Charity League develops socially responsible community leaders and strengthens the mother-daughter bond through leadership, philanthropy, and culture. National Charity League recognizes the importance of diverse perspectives and experiences to meet the needs of the communities it serves.
Currently, the philanthropic organization has over 200,000 members and alumnae in over 300 chapters across the nation. Last year, members contributed nearly 3 million volunteer hours to more than 6,000 local philanthropy partners and their chapters. As of 2025, National Charity League is proudly celebrating its 100th anniversary.
