Folsom’s Summer of Music Concert Series continues this Friday, June 27, with an electrifying performance from Modern Relics, a high-energy band known for delivering the unforgettable sounds of 1980s new wave hits. The free concert takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. at Folsom City Lions Park, located at 403 Stafford Street.

Known for their many regional shows, like those at nearby Red Hawk Casino, Modern Relics bring their signature dance-inducing style to the gazebo stage as part of the city’s summer-long celebration of music and community. Their setlist draws from the best of the 80s, mixing iconic tracks everyone knows with a few deep cuts that will have longtime fans reliving the era—and newcomers dancing like they’ve been there all along.

According to the band, their mission is simple: to play every unforgettable new wave hit from the 80s that audiences remember—and even some they forgot. Whether it’s synth-driven anthems or nostalgic pop-rock classics, Modern Relics are guaranteed to keep the energy high and the dance floor busy all evening long.

As with each installment of the Summer of Music series, attendees can expect a variety of food trucks and local vendors to be on site, offering great eats and treats to enjoy during the show. This week’s food truck lineup will be announced in the days leading up to the concert.
