Rock, country, R&B, and more take center stage this Thursday at Zittel Family Amphitheater

Historic Folsom’s summer music tradition keeps the energy high this week as the Summer Twilight Concert Series continues with a performance by AKAlive Band this Thursday, July 16. The free outdoor concert takes place from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Zittel Family Amphitheater, inviting music lovers to enjoy an evening of powerful vocals, vibrant musicianship, and dance-worthy favorites from across the decades.

AKAlive Band, also known simply as AKA, delivers a dynamic live show that spans rock, country, R&B, and alternative genres. Known for their exceptional vocalists and top-tier musicians, the group turns every performance into a full-on party, packed with rhythm, energy, and crowd engagement. Their setlists cross eras and styles, promising something for every music fan and a soundtrack built to get the audience on their feet.

With a reputation as one of the region’s most versatile and entertaining acts, AKAlive Band brings a polished performance that combines musical precision with stage charisma, making them a must-see in any venue—and especially under the open sky in Historic Folsom.

Thursday’s concert is part of the 2025 Summer Twilight Concert Series, presented by the Folsom Historic District Association. Guests are encouraged to bring low back lawn chairs and enjoy the show from the grassy amphitheater space. Beer and wine will be available for purchase on site, and nearby shops and restaurants add to the evening’s festive ambiance.

The concert series, now in full swing, has already welcomed a wide range of talent, including Mumbo Gumbo, Jessica Malone, The Wildwood Roses, and The Golden Cadillacs. Following AKAlive Band this week, the lineup continues with Apple Z on July 24 and Wayside on July 31.

August performances will feature Sky Kings (August 7), Tom Rigney and Flambeau (August 14), Ryan Hernandez Band (August 21), and a grand finale from Ariel Jean Band on August 28.

Admission to all shows is free, with support from generous local sponsors. Free parking is available at the Historic District Parking Garage at 905 Leidesdorff Street, just steps from the venue.
