There’s a whole lot of peachy fun heading to Historic Folsom this weekend, and if you’re a fan of that bright, fuzzy fruit, you won’t want to miss it.
Peaches in the Plaza returns this Sunday, August 3, bringing with it a full day of family-friendly festivities and peach-themed fun in the heart of Historic Folsom. Now in its 11th year, this sweet celebration draws thousands to the Historic Folsom Plaza at 915 Sutter Street for a summer event bursting with flavor, music, and interactive attractions for all ages.
Presented by Living Smart Farmers Markets, the same group behind Folsom’s year-round Saturday farmers market, this annual peach party is a vibrant celebration of one of California’s favorite summer fruits. From fresh local peaches to gourmet peach-inspired treats, shoppers will find plenty of reasons to celebrate the season—and take a few pounds of peaches home.
Sunday’s event runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and promises a marketplace brimming with juicy options. Fresh peaches from regional farms will be available alongside peach-themed baked goods, jams, jellies, and even handmade items from crafters. There will be a peach eating contest for those who don’t mind getting a little messy and plenty of peach desserts for those who just want to indulge.

For the kids—and the young at heart—there will be carnival-style games, arts and crafts, and various activities throughout the plaza. A special $8 all-day wristband gives access to all the kids’ carnival games, and there will be food trucks on hand to round out the menu. Two live bands will keep the music flowing all morning long, adding to the vibrant energy of the event.
Peaches in the Plaza is one of Historic Folsom’s most popular summer gatherings, second only to the district’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting in attendance. With California ranking as the nation’s top peach-producing state, this event provides the perfect setting to experience the fruit in all its golden-state glory.

Admission is free for all ages, and attendees are encouraged to arrive early to beat the crowds and snag the ripest picks of the day. Parking is available in the Historic District Parking Garage, but residential street parking will be restricted and clearly marked.
