Weekly live entertainment series at Red Hawk Resort Casino welcomes to venue favorites back to the casino stage bar this Friday and Saturday night. On Friday night, it’s the country sounds of Kirk Basquez for the evening, followed by the rockin’ blues of Maxx Cabello Jr. on Saturday.
Since he was just a little kid, Kirk Basquez has been playing guitar, following his interest in some of country music’s biggest legends. Today, he transforms his love of country music into great energy on any stage he steps on. Saturday night, that stage is that of Red Hawk Resort Casino’s stage bar.
Basquez and his band, known as the Los Vaqueros take the stage for the second of two nights of no cover charge entertainment at Red Hawk beginning at 8 p.m.. The show will provide plenty of opportunity to get out on the dance floor, continuing until midnight Friday
Born and raised in Northern California and coming from a large family of musicians, Basquez says, “country music is his jam,” has been on musical journey in which he was influenced by some of country music’s biggest names. That journey started when Basquez was just six years old when his mother bought him his first guitar and the rest is history as followed influences of Hank Williams Jr. Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Jamey Johnson, Sturgill Simpson, John Mayer and many others.
On Satuday, Maxx Cabello hits the stage at 10 p.m. and performs until 2 a.m. on the Red Hawk Stage Bar.
Cabello is labeled as one the regional music scene’s most amazing guitarists as well as a soulful vocalist, and prolific songwriter. Cabello hails from the streets of the San Francisco Bay area where he has been turning heads and bending the ears of even the most veteran musicians and music aficionados.
Straight out of the South Bay,Cabello is bannered as a powerful and captivating artist when he begins to play the guitar, according to his reviews. Red Hawk Casino stage bar guests are in for a delight as this rising star takes to the stage tonight.
The month to come at Red Hawk will include entertainment from American Mile that returns May 17, followed by Night Owl on May 18. Friday May 24 will bring the Fresh Makers to the stage followed by Flat Busted on May 25.
