Red Hawk Resort Casino’s Stage Bar is set for another weekend of live entertainment, with two bands bringing very different sounds to the spotlight. On Friday night, Flat Busted returns with its signature brand of modern country, while Saturday night marks the Red Hawk debut of Patton Leatha, a band with roots stretching from Motown classics to today’s top 40.
Flat Busted takes the stage Friday night from 8 p.m. to midnight, led by longtime frontman Brian McPherson. Known for his high-energy performances and trademark headset microphone, McPherson has spent more than a decade entertaining crowds across California, Nevada, and Oregon at casinos, amphitheaters, fairs, and private events. A 1995 Garth Brooks concert first inspired him to pursue music, leading to early shows with his brother as part of “The McPherson Brothers” before evolving into Flat Busted. Today, the band is a fan favorite for their engaging performances, modern country sound, and ability to connect with audiences wherever they play.
On Saturday night, the Stage Bar welcomes Patton Leatha for its first-ever Red Hawk performance, running from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. The group, led by Duane Patton, brings a versatile mix that ranges from sultry slow jams to funky dance numbers, covering everything from Motown and R&B to old-school hits and modern chart-toppers. Patton’s musical journey began at age 11 when he was signed to CBS Records alongside the Bay Area’s “Together Band,” where he had the rare opportunity to perform at the CBS Convention Showcase with artists such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Barbara Streisand, and Journey. He was produced under CBS by Henry Crosby, one of the producers of The Jackson 5’s “ABC” album, and received early encouragement from Clive Davis, who was instrumental in signing the band.

Patton went on to sign with Holland Dozier Holland’s HDH Records as an artist, songwriter, and producer, further cementing his ties to the industry’s elite. His career highlights include receiving a platinum album as one of the vocalists on Too Short’s “Short Dog In The House” for the song “The Ghetto.” In recent years, Patton Leatha has performed at major casinos across the country, from MGM Grand and Caesar’s Palace to Graton, Cache Creek, and Thunder Valley. Their Red Hawk debut promises a dynamic show that spans genres and eras, sure to keep the dance floor moving late into the night.
All Stage Bar performances are free with no cover charge, and seating is first come, first served.
