The sounds of the season will fill the Folsom High School campus next week as the community gathers for one of its most beloved student traditions, the Holiday Festival of Music. Presented by the Folsom High School Music Boosters, the annual showcase returns on Tuesday, December 9, offering an evening of performances by the school’s acclaimed music ensembles and a lineup of local artists who help make this celebration a highlight of the winter calendar.
The Festival of Music has long been a hallmark of the holiday season in Folsom, drawing families, alumni and supporters eager to experience the talent of students who are part of one of California’s most decorated high-school music programs. This year’s event begins at 7 p.m. inside the Jill Solberg Performing Arts Center at Folsom High School, where audiences will be welcomed with a program that blends tradition, creativity and festive energy.
Taking the stage will be Jazz Band A, the school’s award-winning Jazz Choir, and a series of duets and small ensembles that showcase the depth of talent across the program. The evening will culminate with the full Concert Band and Marching Band, two ensembles recognized for excellence throughout the region and beyond. The variety of performances promises an engaging mix of classic holiday selections, contemporary arrangements, and student-driven collaborations that highlight the strength and versatility of the Folsom High music community.
Beyond the musical experience, the Holiday Festival of Music is a major fundraiser for the Folsom High School Music Boosters, a volunteer-run nonprofit that supports the school’s nationally recognized program. Proceeds from the event help provide critical funding for instruments, travel, competition fees, uniforms, and instructional resources that ensure students continue to receive world-class opportunities in music education. The festival has become both a celebration and a moment of gratitude for the volunteers, families and donors who keep the program thriving.

Folsom High School’s music ensembles have built a reputation that extends far beyond the city, with the jazz program regularly earning top honors at some of the country’s most competitive festivals. Students dedicate countless hours each year to rehearsals, performances and competitions, and the Holiday Festival of Music gives the community a close-up look at the artistry and commitment that define the program.
Tickets for this year’s event are available now atwww.folsommusic.orgfor $20. Seating is expected to fill quickly, and community members are encouraged to purchase tickets early for what has traditionally been a sold-out night of holiday celebration. Folsom High School is located at 1999 Iron Point Road, and doors will open at 7 p.m. on December 9.
As the holidays approach, the Festival of Music remains a treasured tradition that blends community spirit with exceptional student talent. It is an opportunity to gather, celebrate, and support the young musicians who bring so much pride to Folsom. Families and supporters are invited to mark their calendars and share in an evening of festive melodies and artistic excellence as Folsom High School ushers in the season with its 2025 Holiday Festival of Music.
