“While the winners have now been announced, every single entry in this year’s Holiday Lights Contest is worth getting out to see,” said Bill Sullivan, publisher and co-owner of Folsom Times. “It’s exciting to watch participation in this spirited contest grow each year, from individual homes to entire neighborhoods lighting up together, and we love partnering with the City of Folsom to help make it all happen.”

Prize packages are being made possible by partnerships with Visconti’s Ristorante, Scott’s Seafood, The Apex at Red Hawk Casino, Snook’s Candies, Dorothea’s Shoppe, Dave & Buster’s of Folsom, FLB Entertainment Center, and additional local businesses supporting the tradition.

“This year we wanted to take this annual event up a notch and will be presenting special award plaques to the winners at City Council next month, but our local business community really stepped up to provide a number of special gift prizes as well,” Sullivan added. “I can’t say enough about our amazing business community here in Folsom that supports us each and every day as the city’s top community news resource, but also gets involved in community events like this above and beyond that support. Many thanks.”

This year’s contest featured a total of 60 registered entries across five categories, making it one of the largest Holiday Lights Contests the city has seen. Even with winners announced, residents are encouraged to continue touring the displays throughout the city, as each entry contributed to the festive atmosphere and strong sense of community.
