ORANGEVALE—The Boardwalk is ringing in the New Year with a full-throttle night of classic rock on Wednesday, Dec. 31, as the venue hosts a New Year’s Eve Bash featuring Riff Raff and special guest Best Of Both Worlds.
The celebration begins at 9 p.m. and promises a high-energy sendoff to 2025, complete with powerhouse tributes to two of rock’s most iconic bands—AC/DC and Van Halen—performed live in one of Northern California’s most intimate and legendary music rooms.
Riff Raff brings the unmistakable sound and spectacle of AC/DC to the stage, delivering a tribute built on authenticity, energy, and pure rock bravado. Formed in 2007, the band set out to recreate the full AC/DC live experience, capturing not only the sound but the look and intensity that made the legendary rock act a global phenomenon. Guitarist Dave Chapman channels the spirit of Angus Young down to the iconic schoolboy outfit and signature Gibson SG, while vocalist Dylan D. Waltz leads the charge alongside Joel Proto on guitar, Michael Spencer on bass, and Steve Marshall on drums.
The band’s set spans every era of the AC/DC catalog, featuring staples such as “Jailbreak,” “T.N.T.,” “Sin City,” “Whole Lotta Rosie,” “Highway to Hell,” “Dirty Deeds,” “Back in Black,” “Hells Bells,” “For Those About to Rock,” “Thunderstruck,” and “You Shook Me All Night Long.” Each performance is designed to recreate the electricity of an AC/DC arena show—loud, relentless, and built for singalong moments that shake the room.
Sharing the stage is Best of Both Worlds, a Van Halen tribute act dedicated to honoring the full legacy of the band across its most celebrated eras. With two vocalists, the group faithfully recreates everything from the high-flying, swagger-filled years with David Lee Roth to the chart-topping resurgence fronted by Sammy Hagar. The band’s attention to detail, precision musicianship, and deep respect for Eddie Van Halen’s revolutionary guitar work have made them a favorite among fans of the band’s entire catalog.
Together, the two acts create a New Year’s Eve lineup that blends guitar-driven excess, arena-rock anthems, and nonstop energy—an ideal soundtrack for counting down to midnight.
