This week, our All Town Media sponsored shelter pet spotlight is he real McCoy, lieterally.  Named McCoy by the staff of the Sacramento County Animal Care Services at Bradshaw, this little is reportedly a very playful and affectionate German Pinscher mix who’s ready to find his forever home.

McCoy, a male, will catch your eye with his striking brown coat. According to shelter staff, he is about 6 months old and weighs approximately 33 pounds—perfect for those seeking a medium-sized companion.

Since arriving at the shelter on August 6, 2024, McCoy has quickly become a favorite among staff and volunteers. His friendly nature and youthful energy have made him a star in the shelter’s playgroups, where he’s shown he can be an excellent playmate for other dogs. If you’re looking for a buddy for your canine companion, McCoy might just be the perfect match. Potential adopters are encouraged to bring their dog to the shelter for a meet and greet to see if McCoy is the missing piece to their family.
