Annual event marks 31st year as California’s largest home and garden showcase
The Northern California Home & Landscape Expo opened Friday at Cal Expo, kicking off a three-day run that brings hundreds of home improvement and landscape professionals together under one roof for what organizers bill as California’s largest event of its kind.
Now in its 31st year, the Northern California Home & Landscape Expo runs through Sunday, Feb. 1, offering homeowners a chance to explore the latest products, trends and services related to building, remodeling, redecorating and outdoor living. The long-running event is designed to give attendees direct access to industry experts, along with show-only pricing and project ideas tailored to a wide range of styles and budgets.
Organizers say the Expo has continued to grow by pairing traditional home improvement resources with new attractions aimed at enhancing the overall experience. New features debuting this year include a $10,000 furniture shopping spree sponsored by American Furniture Galleries and a $25,000 window giveaway from Renewal by Andersen, both drawing strong early interest from attendees on opening day.
Another addition for 2026 is the H3 Barn Pop-Up Market, a curated marketplace highlighting home accessories, décor items and specialty finds from local artisans, giving visitors an opportunity to shop small while browsing design inspiration.
Community-focused elements are also returning, including the popular Pet Showcase, which features local nonprofit organizations offering animal adoptions as well as pet-related products and services. The Expo will again spotlight Project Green, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing gardens and art programs to local schools, underscoring the event’s emphasis on sustainability, education and community engagement.
With decades of history behind it, the Northern California Home & Landscape Expo continues to attract both first-time visitors and returning attendees looking for ideas, expert guidance and opportunities not typically available outside the annual event.
