The operators of Folsom Slice House are expanding to Granite Bay, bringing another location of Slice House by Tony Gemignani to Placer County this spring.

The new restaurant, located at 4060 Douglas Blvd., Suite 101, in the Sierra Oaks Plaza Center, is slated to open in March 2026. The expansion continues the brand’s growing presence in the greater Sacramento region and marks the second local venture for franchise partners Sandeep and Harjot Gill, who currently operate the Folsom location.

Founded by world-renowned pizzaiolo Tony Gemignani, Slice House has built a national reputation for its artisan pizza styles and fast-casual concept rooted in the traditions of Gemignani’s original San Francisco pizzeria. The Granite Bay restaurant will feature his acclaimed New York, Sicilian, Grandma and Detroit-style pizzas, offered by the slice or as whole pies.

“We’re excited to continue our expansion in the greater Sacramento area with our newest opening in Granite Bay,” Gemignani said in a statement. “It’s always special to grow our Northern California presence, and we’re excited to share our menu alongside our experienced partners, Sandeep and Harjot Gill, who share our dedication to craftsmanship, quality, and delivering world-class pizza to every guest.”

The Granite Bay location is expected to create approximately 15 full-time and 25 part-time jobs and is currently hiring across all positions.

For the Gills, the move north builds on the success they’ve seen in Folsom.

“It’s an honor to open another Slice House location with Tony, and Granite Bay is an ideal artisan pizza spot,” Sandeep Gill said. “After seeing the response at our Folsom restaurant, I know firsthand how much the brand resonates with locals and the greater Sacramento area. We’re thrilled to bring Slice House to the community soon and create a welcoming spot where neighbors can gather, enjoy award-winning pizza, and make it part of their weekly routines.” The Folsom location took honors by Folsom Times readers in the 2025 Best of Times voting as well.

In addition to its four signature pizza styles, the Granite Bay menu will include fresh pastas, wings and salads, along with gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options. Guests can also expect a beverage selection of craft beers, premium wines and non-alcoholic sodas and juices.

The restaurant will offer indoor seating for 55 guests and patio seating for 12, along with takeout, online ordering and delivery. Hours are planned for 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Slice House Granite Bay will join a mix of retailers and restaurants in the Sierra Oaks Plaza Center, positioned near residential neighborhoods, schools and medical offices — a location the operators believe will make it a convenient dining destination for Granite Bay families and nearby communities, including Folsom.

The brand continues to gain national recognition. Gemignani recently earned two spots on the 50 Top Pizza USA 2025 list, with his flagship San Francisco restaurant Tony’s Pizza Napoletana ranking No. 3 and Pizza Rock placing No. 33. Tony’s Pizza Napoletana also ranked No. 10 globally on the 50 Top Pizza World 2025 list. Slice House, the fast-casual franchise concept inspired by his North Beach roots, now has more than 140 units open or in development nationwide.

Grand opening events for the Granite Bay location are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. More information is available atwww.slicehouse.comand on social media channels for Slice House and Slice House Granite Bay.
