The complete cast has been announced for the upcoming performances of the Tony- and Grammy-winning musical Hadestown at the Harris Center for the Arts, running December 12–15.

After a wildly successful first North American tour that played to nearly 2 million fans across 85 cities, Hadestownlaunched a new tour in October, bringing the acclaimed musical to even more audiences. Tickets for the Folsom performances are available now at the Harris Center Box Office.

The show intertwines the mythic love stories of Orpheus and Eurydice and Hades and Persephone, combining modern American folk with New Orleans-inspired jazz. Anaïs Mitchell’s haunting melodies and Rachel Chavkin’s imaginative direction take audiences on a theatrical journey through the underworld and back, exploring themes of love, doubt, and resilience.

Originally premiering at New York Theatre Workshop in 2016, where it became the longest-running production in the theater’s history, Hadestown has captivated audiences in Canada, London, and on Broadway, where it continues to play to sold-out crowds.

Written by singer-songwriter and Tony Award winner Mitchell and developed with original director and Tony Award winner Chavkin, Hadestown blends modern folk music with New Orleans-inspired jazz to reimagine these timeless stories.

The cast features Nickolaus Colón as Hades, Megan Colton as Eurydice, Jaylon C. Crump as Hermes, Namisa Mdlalose Bizana as Persephone, and Bryan Munar as Orpheus. The Fates will be portrayed by Katelyn Crall, Erin McMillen, and Miriam Navarrete. The Workers Chorus includes Randy Cain, Miracle Myles, Kaitlyn O’Leary, Mikaela Rada, and Joe Rumi. Swings for the tour are Jamir Brown, Ricky Cardenas, Michelle E. Carter, and Julia Schick.

The tour is directed by Keenan Tyler Oliphant, based on Chavkin’s original Broadway direction, with choreography by T. Oliver Reid, adapted from David Neumann’s original work. The creative team includes David Arsenault (set design), Michael Krass (costume design), Aja Jackson (lighting design), and Nevin Steinberg and Jessica Paz (sound design).

Since premiering on Broadway in April 2019, Hadestown has earned eight Tony Awards, including Best New Musical, and a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album. Critics nationwide have praised the show, with the San Francisco Chronicle calling it “astounding” and the Chicago Sun-Times describing it as “irresistibly entertaining.”
