Folsom’s Broadstone Marketplace is about to become even sweeter as Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates is soon to become a permanent Folsom fixture, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

After a successful holiday pop-up shop, Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates will permanently take over the former Vibe Health Bar space at 2770 E. Bidwell St., Suite 500. The move marks a new chapter for owner Ginger Elizabeth Hahn, whose handcrafted confections have already gained a devoted following in the Bay Area and Sacramento.

Hahn’s passion for sweets was born in Northern California’s Apple Hill, where childhood days of harvesting apples and blackberries inspired her commitment to fresh, local ingredients. Her philosophy, “great chocolate starts with the finest ingredients,” drives her sustainable sourcing from trusted Northern California purveyors.

After refining her craft in New York City, Hahn returned to California and opened her first boutique in Sacramento’s Handle District in 2007. Her shop revitalized the area, earning acclaim from The Wall Street JournalMartha Stewart, and Food & Wine. Hahn’s innovative treats, such as her exclusive Frozen Macaron Sandwich, blend artistry and a sense of fun.

Beyond her boutiques, Hahn has taught over 10,000 confectioners through workshops and online classes. Her book, The Macaron Cookbook, has sold more than 5,000 copies, while her 50,000 Instagram followers enjoy a glimpse into her chocolate-making adventures. A mother of three, Hahn balances her professional ambition with family life, embodying the perseverance that has defined her success.

“We have solid clientele in the Folsom and Roseville area, so when this spot became available, it seemed like the right fit,” Hahn told the Sacramento Business Journal last year. The recipient of the publication’s Most Admired CEO award credited the local community for supporting her business during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. “I just love this community, which after COVID really pulled us through in a great way,” she said.
