Weekend includes Nipper Brothers, Superbad, Halfway Inn and Super Bowl watch party Sunday
It’s all about stereotyping this Friday night in Historic Folsom as Powerhouse Entertainment presents one of the region’s favorite bands, Stereotype, headlining at Powerhouse Pub. Known for their high-energy performances and diverse setlist, Stereotype will have the dance floor rocking with a mix of pop, rock, R&B, classic rock, country, and even old-school hip-hop. They’re just one of several acts performing at Powerhouse this weekend, as the venue hosts three days of live music before wrapping things up with a Super Bowl watch party on Sunday.
The weekend kicks off on Friday at 7 p.m. with Halfway Inn, a band that pays tribute to epic rock bands spanning the decades. Their high-energy show is all about getting the party started with classic rock hits that everyone knows and loves.
Following them at 10 p.m., Stereotype will bring their signature blend of world-class musicianship, nonstop energy, and creative mashups to Powerhouse. This five-piece Sacramento-based cover band is known for electrifying crowds with their ability to seamlessly transition between genres, keeping audiences engaged and the dance floor packed. From pop and rock to country and classic hip-hop, Stereotype delivers something for everyone.
Saturday’s entertainment begins at 3 p.m. with the Saturday Afternoon Dance Party, featuring the Nipper Brothers – A Grateful Dead Tribute. This Northern California band faithfully recreates the sound and feel of a classic Grateful Dead show, with a focus on harmonies and the poetic lyrics of Jerry Garcia’s legendary catalog. Fans of the Dead won’t want to miss this immersive and heartfelt performance.
At 10 p.m. on Saturday, the high-energy dance band Superbad takes the stage. Led by six-foot-six frontman Henry Lange, Superbad performs an exciting mix of hits from the 70s to today. Known for their dynamic performances and engaging stage presence, Superbad has built a reputation as one of the best party bands in Northern California. Expect an unforgettable night of music and dancing.
The weekend wraps up on Sunday, Feb. 9, at noon with Powerhouse’s Super Bowl watch party. Football fans can watch the big game on a massive 15-foot screen, enjoy BBQ on the patio, and kick back in Big Rob’s Cigar & Hookah Lounge. It’s the perfect spot to bring friends and family for an all-day Super Bowl Sunday celebration.
