EL DORADO HILLS – Firefighters from El Dorado Hills with the assistance of three other departments responded to a reported structure fire Tuesday in the Serrano community of El Dorado Hills.

After a 911 call reporting smoke coming from a structure, firefighters arrived to the scene on the 5000 block of Greyson Creek Drive where smoke was coming from the roof of a new custom home still under construction.

With mutual aide response from the Rescue Fire Department, El Dorado County Fire Protection District and the Amador-El Dorado CAL FIRE unit, firefighters laid their lines into the property and made an attack on the blaze and extinguished it before spreading to the rest of the structure. According to the El Dorado Hills Fire Department, its estimated the home suffered approximately $200,000 in damage.

No injuries were reported in the incident. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
