Saturday afternoon on January 3 brings the Saturday Afternoon Dance Party with 3 Shots of Rock at 3 p.m. Formed in 2018, the band features veteran Northern California musicians performing classic rock, southern rock and hard rock spanning from the 1960s to modern day. With decades of combined experience in prominent Sacramento-area bands, the group delivers a tight and high-energy show that appeals to rock fans of all eras.

Saturday night continues with SuperBad at 10 p.m., one of the region’s most recognizable dance bands known for filling floors with a mix of hits from the 70s, 80s, 90s and today. Led by six-foot-six frontman Henry Lange, SuperBad’s shows are high-energy and heavily interactive, creating an atmosphere that keeps crowds engaged from the opening song through the end of the night. Their polished performance style and broad repertoire have made them a consistent favorite on the California club circuit.

The weekend wraps up on Sunday, January 4, with Powerhouse of Blues featuring Rick Estrin and the Nightcats at 3 p.m. Estrin, a San Francisco native whose blues roots run deep, first discovered the genre at age 12 and quickly immersed himself in the culture and music surrounding him. By his late teens he was performing at clubs across the city and soon found himself sharing the stage with respected artists ranging from Lowell Fulson to Z.Z. Hill. Even Muddy Waters praised his early playing and songwriting, calling out the distinctiveness of his sound. Estrin later co-founded Little Charlie and the Nightcats before forming the current lineup with guitar virtuoso Kid Andersen. His harmonica work, songwriting and dynamic vocals make him one of today’s most recognizable figures in contemporary blues. The Sunday afternoon performance offers a chance to see a celebrated blues musician in an intimate Folsom setting.

As Powerhouse moves into 2026, the venue continues to build on its reputation as one of Historic Folsom’s strongest entertainment hubs, offering a blend of live music, themed events, DJ-driven dance nights and weekend showcases that appeal to a wide audience throughout the region.
