Rebel the Bay, Adam Aldama and the Aces, and Val Starr & The Blues Rocket keep the music rolling in Historic Folsom through Sunday

FOLSOM — Another weekend of powerhouse entertainment is set to light up Historic Folsom as 614 Sutter Street transforms once again into the region’s top stage for live music. From psychedelic tributes and high-energy dance bands to alternative pop favorites and local blues standouts, Powerhouse is bringing variety, volume, and nonstop entertainment across three packed days.

The fun begins Friday, September 12, with an early TGIF show at 6:30 p.m. featuring Another Brick, a tribute to the legendary music of Pink Floyd. This show combines the sonic precision of classics from The Wall, Wish You Were Here, Animals, and Dark Side of the Moon with a mesmerizing laser light spectacle. Fans can expect a note-for-note journey through the psychedelic era, complete with the visual artistry that made Pink Floyd concerts iconic.

Later Friday night, Superbad takes the stage at 10 p.m. Known for crowding dance floors across Northern California, this powerhouse band blends funk, soul, pop, and rock into an irresistible party mix. Fronted by towering and charismatic vocalist Henry Lange, Superbad thrives on big presence and infectious energy, delivering everything from 70s and 80s favorites to today’s hits with a modern spin. Their ability to stay on top of musical trends while honoring the classics has kept them a staple of California’s club circuit.

On Saturday, September 13, the Saturday Afternoon Dance Party kicks off at 3 p.m. with Rebel the Bay, a group of seasoned veterans from the Bay Area club scene. Their setlist focuses on the best alternative pop of the 80s, 90s, and 2000s, bringing a nostalgic but high-energy vibe that keeps audiences dancing.

Saturday night at 10 p.m., Adam Aldama and the Aces return to the Powerhouse stage. Known for their ability to transform into multiple themed acts — including Prince tribute The Red Corvettes, Bruno Mars and Michael Jackson tribute Finesse, and Y2K Live — the Aces have mastered the art of taking audiences down memory lane. With Adam Aldama leading the band alongside Veronica Ballejos, Brett Sackett, Keywan Ryland, and Jimmy O’Shea, this five-piece group brings a dynamic show filled with classic hits and crowd favorites designed to keep the party going.

The weekend wraps up Sunday, September 14, with the Powerhouse of Blues series featuring Val Starr & The Blues Rocket at 3 p.m. Based in Sacramento, Val Starr is known as one of California’s premier original blues performers. With powerhouse vocals, fiery songwriting, and the backing of some of the region’s best musicians, Starr brings a unique brand of California blues that keeps fans on their feet and moving to the beat.
