Forget paw prints on paper—how about a full-blown gallery exhibition made by some of Folsom’s most creative critters?

Starting June 27, the Gallery at 48 Natoma will host one of the most delightful and unique art exhibits of the summer: the Folsom Zoo Sanctuary’s Animal Art Show. Running through August 13, this playful display will feature original works of art created by the animal residents of the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary.

To kick things off, an artists’ reception will be held Friday, June 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the gallery, located at 48 Natoma Street in Folsom. The reception is free and open to the public, complete with live music and light refreshments.

The featured pieces in this exhibit aren’t your typical brush-and-easel works—these masterpieces are made by paws, claws, hooves, and beaks. From abstract paw paintings to whimsical brush strokes from a very motivated macaw, the exhibit showcases the zoo animals’ natural instincts turned into vibrant expression. Each piece will be available for purchase, with proceeds going directly to support programming at the Folsom Zoo Sanctuary.
