The Folsom Cordova Unified School District transformed its District Office into a vibrant gallery last week, showcasing the remarkable talents of its students during Art Unites: Showcase for Every Voice.
The event celebrated creativity and self-expression, featuring a diverse array of student artwork that turned blank canvases into vivid storytelling. From bold brushstrokes to intricate designs, each piece reflected the passion and unique perspective of its creator.
Adding to the evening’s artistic ambiance, students from Vista del Lago High School provided live musical entertainment, filling the gallery with energy and joy as visitors admired the work on display.
The event was hosted by the Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA), the Community Advisory Committee (CAC), and the Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Department, underscoring the unifying power of art. Teachers, families, and community members gathered to celebrate the students’ achievements and the importance of creativity in education.
“We are so proud of every student who contributed to this event,” organizers shared. “Their artwork speaks volumes, not just in talent but in the way it expresses individuality and emotion.”
The evening served as a testament to the role of art in fostering community and connection, with heartfelt thanks extended to the teachers and organizers who made it possible.
