As part of the California State Assembly’s annual celebration of Women’s History Month, Assemblyman Josh Hoover (R-Folsom) recognized Rosie Buck as the 7th Assembly District’s Woman of the Year for 2025.
“I am honored to recognize Rosie Buck as the 2025 Woman of the Year for the 7th Assembly District,” said Assemblyman Hoover. “Rosie’s leadership and dedication to community growth, small businesses, and public service have made a lasting impact in Carmichael and throughout our region.”
Rosie Buck is a distinguished entrepreneur and philanthropist committed to strengthening local economies and fostering community vitality. She is the president of the Carmichael Chamber of Commerce, where she plays a pivotal role in uniting businesses and community members to promote regional success. In addition to her leadership at the chamber, Rosie remains actively involved in her family’s auto shop, Buck Family Automotive, where she contributes in various office capacities.
Beyond her professional achievements, Rosie is a dedicated volunteer, serving in leadership roles on multiple nonprofit boards and actively contributing to four distinct service organizations. A passionate advocate for community development, she sits on the Carmichael Improvement District Board and plays a key role in organizing major park district events. She and her husband also serve on the San Juan School District Advisory Board, where they provide curriculum feedback and help facilitate automotive internships for students.
A proud graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, Rosie earned a degree in sociology before beginning her career as an emergency medical technician, further demonstrating her dedication to serving others. She is also a devoted mother to her young son, Archer, and alongside her husband, Jeff, she embodies the values of family, hard work, and service.
Josh Hoover is a Folsom resident who represents Assembly District 7, which includes the cities of Citrus Heights, Folsom, and Rancho Cordova, as well as the unincorporated communities of Carmichael, Fair Oaks, Foothill Farms, Gold River, Mather, McClellan Park, North Highlands, Orangevale, and Rosemont.
