Year-old wellness center recognized for holistic approach to community care

Violet Wellness Spa is marking its first year of service with a notable distinction after being named the February 2026 Small Business of the Month for California’s 7th Assembly District by Assemblyman Josh Hoover.

Hoover, who represents Folsom and several surrounding communities, announced the recognition this week, highlighting the spa’s commitment to community-focused healing and integrative wellness.

Violet Wellness Spa officially opened its doors on Feb. 1, 2025, and recently celebrated its one-year anniversary. Located at 4125 Temescal St. in Fair Oaks, the business has quickly established itself as a destination for individuals and families seeking a blended approach to physical and emotional well-being.

The spa is led by owner Dr. Tian Li and Chief Executive Officer Norman Plotkin, CHt. It represents a partnership between Tian Chao Herbs and Acupuncture, a long-standing Traditional Chinese Medicine practice, and Norman Plotkin Hypnotherapy. Together, the leadership team combines Eastern and Western approaches into what they describe as a holistic model of care.

Services offered at Violet Wellness Spa include facial and cosmetic acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine-based meridian massage, hypnotherapy for emotional regulation, and a variety of wellness classes. Community members can participate in Tai Chi, Qi Gong, yoga, meditation and sound healing sessions designed to promote restoration, resilience and overall balance.

“It is a privilege to recognize a business that prioritizes community-based healing and care,” Hoover said. “Please join me in congratulating Violet Wellness Spa on its first year of success and in wishing them continued growth and impact in the years ahead.”
