UPDATE 9:45 A.M 8-18-25 Missing child has been located safe.
SACRAMENTO—The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating 11-year-old Leighton Sargent, who has been reported missing from her home near Watt Avenue and Arden Way.
Leighton is described as 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighing about 80 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen late Friday night at approximately 11:30 p.m., wearing a white T-shirt and baggy jean shorts.
Her parents discovered she was missing when they awoke Saturday morning and immediately contacted law enforcement.
Anyone in the area or across the Sacramento region who sees Leighton or knows of her whereabouts is urged to contact the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office immediately at 916-874-5115.
