Sunday will be a grand opening for the FCA season with the Bachelors of Broadway featuring New York City’s top theatrical talent. Think a trio of dashing men singing soaring melodies from stage and screen in three-part vocal harmony. While the show is perfect for lovers of theatrical blockbusters from South Pacific to Wicked, it also features music for those less familiar with Broadway’s Golden Age, including songs from Jersey Boys, Billy Joel’s Movin’ Out, The Greatest Showman, and Disney blockbusters like Aladdin and Hercules that have captivated millions worldwide.
The Bachelors of Broadway was created in 2022 by the same producing team responsible for worldwide sensations Shades of Bublé, Two on Tap, and NYC3. The show makes a strong effort to build representation in the arts by including performers onstage and behind the scenes who reflect the diverse Broadway community.
The Folsom Concert Association has a record of 135 concerts over 29 years and is one of our region’s most reasonably priced concert series. As a nonprofit, every dollar goes back to bringing professional musicians to seniors in residential communities, providing college scholarships to high school seniors, and refurbishing donated instruments for underprivileged students.
Sunday’s concert is set to begin at 2:00 p.m. at the Harris Center for the Arts. As of this writing, a number of tickets were still available and range in price from $42 to $57. Tickets can be purchased online HERE or by calling the Harris Center box office at (916) 608-6888. The FCA began in 1994, a group of Folsom residents interested in the performing arts formed the first Board of Directors of a fledgling concert association. Out of their interest and willingness to serve their community, the Folsom Lake Community Concert Association (FLCCA) was born. In 2019, FLCCA was changed to the Folsom Concert Association or FCA.
Today, they continue our dedication to bringing concerts of the highest quality to Folsom and the surrounding communities. The Folsom Concert Association contracts with national and international talent to provide a diversified genre of music for their patrons and guests.
The FCA also provides music to students and seniors who are unable to attend concerts at no cost to them.
