Longtime, Midnight Players, Wasted Space, Adam Aldama & The Aces, and Laurie Morvan light up the stage July 11–13

The summer music season rolls on this weekend in Historic Folsom as Powerhouse Pub opens its doors to a dynamic lineup of rock tributes, dance-floor favorites, and fiery blues performances. Whether you’re a fan of classic harmonies, old-school R&B, or searing guitar solos, this three-day stretch promises a little something for every taste—and plenty of chances to keep the party going deep into the night.

Things get started Friday, July 11, with the TGIF early show featuring Longtime, Northern California’s only tribute to the iconic sounds of Boston. Starting at 7:00 p.m., Longtime brings to life the soaring vocals, celestial guitars, and cosmic organ solos that made Boston’s debut album one of the most celebrated in rock history. Their commitment to “space-age accuracy” has made them a favorite among fans who crave the golden era of arena rock, and Friday’s set is primed to deliver all the hits in high-fidelity style.

Later that night, Midnight Players take over the Powerhouse stage at 10:00 p.m. A Sacramento institution since 1977, the band blends old-school R&B, funk, oldies, and Latin grooves into one irresistible performance. With a long history of opening for national acts like WAR, Rose Royce, ConFunkShun, and Zapp, the Midnight Players have built a loyal following that shows up ready to dance. Expect a high-energy set packed with hits from Earth Wind & Fire, Chaka Khan, The Gap Band, Cameo, Malo, and more—perfect for fans who love timeless rhythms and nonstop movement.

On Saturday, July 12, the Saturday afternoon dance party kicks off at 3:00 p.m. with Wasted Space, a band dedicated to the heart and soul of classic rock. Their setlist reads like a love letter to the ’60s and ’70s, with tracks from the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin, Fleetwood Mac, Jefferson Airplane, and Lynyrd Skynyrd all on deck. Known for their rich harmonies and feel-good energy, Wasted Space delivers a spirited show that gets crowds dancing, singing, and reliving the glory days of rock and roll.

Saturday night brings a familiar favorite back to the Powerhouse stage as Adam Aldama & The Aces perform at 10:00 p.m. This five-piece group, fronted by Aldama, is known for high-energy theme sets that range from Bruno Mars and Michael Jackson tributes to 2000s party anthems and Prince-inspired funk. Their sharp choreography, vocal harmonies, and contagious energy make every show a celebration—one that keeps crowds on their feet from the first note to the last chorus.

The weekend winds down with Powerhouse of Blues on Sunday, July 13, featuring a powerhouse performance by Laurie Morvan at 3:00 p.m. A fiery guitarist and blues foundation award-winner, Morvan leads her seasoned band through a tight, dynamic show filled with soulful originals and expert-level playing. She’s lit up the stages of King Biscuit Blues Festival, Calgary Bluesfest, and Magic City Blues, and her latest album, Gravity, spent nearly a year on the Top 50 Blues-Rock Radio Chart.
