Broadway entertainment is making its much anticipated return to Folsom’s Harris Center starting this fall with a stellar billing musical fans will not want to miss so its time to secure your tickets. Tickets for all of the venue’s shows in the 2023-2024 series are set to go on sale this week among other events that make up the incredibly stacked schedule of events the venue has put together.
The new Broadway Series at Harris Center will open in November with On Your Feet, the story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan. The story will take you on the journey of two people who, through an unwavering dedication to one another and their pursuit of the American dream, showcases their talent, their music, and their heritage to the world in a remarkable rise to global superstardom. There is no doubt that this Broadway season opening at Harris Center will indeed get everyone on their feet.
The show boasts some of the most iconic music of all time with cuts by Emilio Estefan, Gloria Estefan, and Miami Sound Machine, including Grammy Award winning songs: “The Rhythm is Gonna Get You,” “Conga,” “Anything for You,” “1-2-3,” “Get On Your Feet, and “Here We Are.” The show features a six-piece band and original musical tracks performed and produced by Miami Sound Machine. Prepare to be on your feet from start to finish. The show runs November 2-5.
The next Broadway show in the local series will be Mystic Pizza, landing in Folsom at February 28 and running until March 3.
Based on the beloved 1988 MGM rom-com that launched the career of Julia Roberts, Mystic Pizza is a new musical about three working-class girls who navigate the complexities of life, love, and family in a small-town pizza joint serving everyone from the townies to the privileged country club set. And what’s in that secret sauce, you ask? We will leave that for you to determine. The show features some hits of the 80s and 90s! The hit songs range from “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” to “Hold On” to “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now.
Coming to Folsom in May will be the Cher Show, a brand new musical for Broadway fans to enjoy. The show will hit the Harris Center stage May 9 through 12.As the billing states, superstars come and go. Cher is forever.
