I’m not the only one surprised that we’ve already reached December. This year’s developments, events, and successes have gone by quickly. There are still a few weeks left to celebrate Folsom’s business community, and I don’t want to miss a single day.

Another Folsom IPO

ELEVAI Labs Inc., a medical aesthetic company with research and development labs in Folsom, recently reached another milestone to an IPO, starting trading last month. It’s a significant accomplishment, and it’s great to see the number of Folsom’s companies on the stock exchange continuing to grow.

Lisa Haussman on the 40 under 40 list

While I hate to admit it, I’m no longer under 40, but I enjoy seeing the accomplishments of those in that age bracket. I was particularly pleased to see my friend Lisa Haussman on this year’s Sacramento Business Journal list. She’s been an avid supporter of Folsom, including speaking at the HER Women’s Conference. I know first-hand that she’s a force to be reckoned with, having served as the first female president of Mercy Hospital. Congratulations, Lisa – I know there are even greater things ahead for you.

With the new year around the corner, it’s no surprise we’ve got our first business event of 2024 confirmed. Join us at the Annual State of the City luncheon on Thursday, January 25, from 11:30 am to 1 pm. at Lakeside Folsom. Besides an opportunity to connect with local business experts, civic leaders, and the Folsom community, the event will feature the newly appointed Mayor’s Annual State of the City Address along with an exciting announcement.
