FOLSOM—The big top is about to rise once again in Folsom as Circus Vargas returns later this month, bringing its dazzling new production “Hollywood Dreams” to the city for a multi-day engagement of live family entertainment.
The traveling circus, a California tradition since 1969, has been wowing audiences this summer with its latest show, which pays homage to Tinseltown’s golden age. After its current stop at the Westfield Galleria in Roseville, the circus caravan will make its way to Folsom, where the familiar striped tent will be set up near the corner of Oak Avenue Parkway and East Bidwell Street, next to Lakeside Church. Performances in Folsom begin on September 25 and continue through October 6.
Hollywood Dreams is described as a blockbuster adventure filled with spotlights, stunts, and starlets. The show combines two hours of awe-inspiring performances by world-renowned artists, including aerialists, acrobats, comedians, daredevils, and more. The theme captures the glamour of Hollywood’s heyday while delivering the kind of live thrills and family fun that has kept Circus Vargas at the forefront of touring entertainment for decades.
Among the highlights of the 2025 production is Liina, whose aerial artistry brings elegance and daring high above the ring. The Globe of Death pushes excitement to the edge of every seat as motorcycle riders crisscross at breakneck speed inside a steel sphere. The Meza Troupe delivers high-wire excellence, performing stunts high above the crowd with unmatched skill and fearlessness. The Faltyny’s amaze with their unicycle routines, balancing agility and precision in acts that continually surprise audiences.

Internationally famous clowns Steve and Jones Caveagna of the Caveagna Family return with their signature comedy, bringing timeless slapstick humor that appeals to children and adults alike. Martii and Liina thrill the audience with their archery skills, combining suspense and spectacle in an act that demands both concentration and daring. Vlastia captivates with mesmerizing hoola hoop artistry, blending rhythm, dance, and athleticism in a performance that is as graceful as it is energetic.
Emelin and Dasha dazzle with a quick-change routine that leaves audiences marveling at the speed and artistry of their transformations. The Faltyny Family also showcases their juggling talents, adding variety and excitement to a show that never lets the energy dip.

Guiding the entire experience is Johnathan Lee Iverson, the celebrated ring master whose presence and voice tie every act together into a seamless story. With charisma and authority, Iverson leads the audience through the journey of Hollywood Dreams, making the night feel as glamorous and dramatic as the silver screen itself.
Circus Vargas emphasizes that its productions are entirely animal-free, placing the spotlight on human artistry, athleticism, and comedy. Every act is designed to showcase the extraordinary skills of the performers while honoring circus traditions in a modern way.
Fans who experienced last year’s performances in Folsom will remember how the tent became more than just a stage. It was transformed into a temporary Hollywood backlot, where dazzling costumes, evocative music, and clever staging created a cinematic atmosphere under canvas. The popularity of last year’s engagement was so overwhelming that the circus extended its stay to meet ticket demand, and organizers anticipate that this year will draw similar crowds.

For those who can’t wait until the Folsom shows begin, Hollywood Dreams is currently dazzling audiences in Roseville, where the big top is set up near the Westfield Galleria Mall. The Roseville engagement offers eager circus lovers a chance to catch the action before the caravan heads down Highway 50 for its highly anticipated Folsom debut.
