After more than a week of eye opening performances and numerous sold out shows, Circus Vargas was set to close its tour stop in the city of Folsom Sunday evening, but wait there’s more! The Folsom community has welcomed the traveling show so well, that organizers have announced they are extending their stint by an additional day to give everyone another opportunity to take in the entertaining spectacle, 

“Due to the overwhelming response we’ve so gratefully received here in Folsom, we are happy to announce that we have added an extra day to our stay,” organizers said in a statement.”  We have added a final performance on Monday evening.”

With enough time to tear down, travel and prepare for their next event in Santa Clarita next weekend, the cast and crew of Circus Vargas will step into the ring through Monday, Sept. 9 with an added evening performance at 6:00 p.m. at Lakeside Church on the corner of East Bidwell Street and Oak Avenue Parkway. Prior to the newly added show, they have performances on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., both of which have a limited number of tickets available around the ring where there literally is no bad seat in the house. Ticket availability can be viewed online at www.circusvargas.com as well as on site at the ticket box office, but reserving your spot online will insure you have a seat for the show. 

The local show that has been opening eyes and bringing big smiles to faces of all ages is known as  “Jubilé! An Epic World Celebration.”  The production showcases diverse cultures and nationalities coming together to entertain, laugh, and celebrate as one. Upon their arrival to Folsom last week, organizers promised a showcase of some of the world’s finest circus acrobatics and aerial artistry.

Folsom Times’ staff and ownership been at the show over the recent days covering its arrival and featuring some of its stars such as ringmaster  Johnathan Lee Iverson, their beloved Italian circus clown Steve “Stevie” Caveagna and others and can attest, this two hour show lives up to its goal of captivate audiences  with what they cite as an “amazing adventure” filled with excitement and joy. 

Since its arrival, the big tent has welcomed much of the Folsom community, some of them more than once, over recent days, many have which have shared their photos and thoughts on local social media pages. Nearly every one of those posts has suggested to others to check out the show before its too late. Now those who haven’t have an extra day.

Known for its animal-free performances, Circus Vargas is a traditional American circus based in California. The circus is owned and managed by husband-and-wife team Katya Arata Quiroga and Nelson Quiroga, who took over in 2005. Their three daughters are also featured performers in the show.

Ticket prices range from $85 for VIP experiences to $25 for the Back Arena. Ringside Reserved seats are priced between $70 and $60, while Arena Front tickets are available for $55 to $45. Arena Side seats range from $45 to $35. Children aged 2 to 10 can purchase discounted tickets, and those under 2 are admitted free with an adult’s lap. Senior tickets are also available.
