School’s out, Memorial Day weekend is arriving and  the summer swim season is about to get underway in Folsom with the kick off to the summer season at the Steve Miklos Aquatic Center as well as at Folsom’s various spray parks. 

The aquatic center will splash into its summer mode starting this Saturday, May 25 with daily recreation swim available from 1 to 5 p.m. through September 2. According to the City of Folsom, guests can enjoy all the amenities including the interactive play structure, diving boards, three pools, plenty of space to lounge in the sun or shade, poolside café, and a new giant inflatable obstacle course (requires a $4 wristband). The trained lifeguarding staff are always on duty during recreation swim.

Those who plan frequent use can purchase a Family Season Pass for $179 and enjoy 101 days of recreation swim and aquatics fun. Those looking to cool off in the water features at one of the city’s three spray parks  can do so starting Friday, May 24 as they will officially open for the season.

According to city officials, the flume and creek water feature at Livermore Community Park and the splash pads at Kemp Park and Nisenan Park are open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., starting May 24 and continuing through September 27. 

City officials note that the water features may be closed intermittently throughout the season as needed for maintenance or repairs.
