Over a decade ago, my family and I moved to Folsom to start a small business. We moved from a community that was not business friendly and that stifled progress – a mindset impossible to sustain. Things are always changing; it’s a question of whether change is for the better or for the worse.

I’m proud to be part of a community that values progress and sustainability. As our city grows, it’s crucial that our revenue sources grow along with it to maintain the quality of life we all enjoy. That’s why I support Measure G, and I encourage my fellow residents to do the same.

Measure G is a sustainable local sales tax measure that benefits Folsom directly. It includes important taxpayer protections, such as a citizen oversight committee, ensuring funds are used appropriately and transparently. Visitors who shop in our city will contribute to city sales tax revenues, easing the burden on residents.

The amenities that drew my family to Folsom are what drew others here – quality of life, trails and parks, intentional city planning, and concern for residents. Folsom offers amenities of a city and the culture of a small town. This has drawn people to shop, recreate, and live in the place we call home.

But as our city expands, so do the demands upon our infrastructure, public safety, and essential services. Measure G will provide the resources necessary to keep pace with the demands, ensuring Folsom remains a great place to live, work, and do business.

As a business owner, I have experienced firsthand cuts to city services and the impact on our community. Join me and other small business owners by voting YES on Measure G. Let’s work together to keep Folsom thriving.
