Community is everything in Folsom. It’s a crucial reason why many companies, startups, and entrepreneurs Choose Folsom.

It’s essential for us at Choose Folsom to continue to support our business community through opportunities to foster collaboration and create new connections. Finding new ways to bring like-minded folks together to drive innovation and make a positive impact in Folsom and Greater Sacramento is what keeps us up at night – or perhaps that’s just me.

This fall brings several opportunities to network and make connections, ranging from a special Meet the Leaders to celebrating the Foothill Wine Fest Competition winners. But there’s more than the below opportunities. See the complete list on our website.

Over 1,800 volunteers participated in the 10th annual Folsom Community Service Day on Saturday, September 16. Seeing the wide range of volunteers was inspiring. Collectively, we completed 34 community projects, plus 71 projects targeting seniors in need.

In addition, the Folsom community responded generously to the Community Service Day donation drives, which resulted in impressive stats: 28 tons of food for the Twin Lakes Food Bank, 1,000+ toys for the Happy Smiles Toy Drive, and two truckloads of pet supplies for the Sacramento SPCA and Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary, among others.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered and donated. Know that your contribution is an immense help to Folsom.

HER Women’s Conference on Thursday, October 5

The power of our collective networks is on full display at the HER Women’s Conference. Between the inspiring speakers, ample time for making valuable connections, and learning opportunities, the event has developed a reputation for empowering attendees with valuable takeaways and new business contacts and friends.  I’m particularly excited to see the event at a new venue, the Harris Center for the Arts.  Thanks to Presenting Sponsors Dignity Health, Inductive Automation, and Palladio.
