Community gathers at Cordova High for a night of performances, exhibits, and unity
RANCHO CORDOVA—The Performing Arts Center at Cordova High School was once again a hub of cultural celebration and student creativity as the Folsom Cordova Unified School District hosted its highly anticipated International Night. Organized by the FCUSD Student Advisory Board, the event brought together families, educators, and community members for an immersive evening of global culture and community connection.
International Night transformed the campus into a vibrant showcase of student-led exhibits, energetic performances, and an eye-catching fashion show, with participation from schools, clubs, and organizations across the district. Attendees explored cultural displays, engaged with interactive booths, and enjoyed a diverse lineup of music and dance performances that celebrated the wide array of backgrounds represented in FCUSD schools.
A highlight of the night was the cultural fashion show, where students proudly walked the stage in traditional attire from around the world—each outfit telling its own story and honoring generations of heritage. The evening also included a selection of delicious eats from on-site food trucks, adding to the festive, family-friendly atmosphere.
The event built on the success of the district’s recent Cultural Appreciation Concert and continued the celebration of diversity and inclusion through the arts. Both events underscore FCUSD’s commitment to elevating student voices, promoting cultural literacy, and creating welcoming spaces where all students and families feel seen and valued.
Hosted at Cordova High’s Performing Arts Center, the evening served as the perfect backdrop for the evening’s blend of color, sound, and celebration. For district leaders, educators, and the students themselves, the success of International Night marked a memorable moment of unity, pride, and educational enrichment.
