FOLSOM – The Folsom area’s own Nashville Music Row artist Cynthia Renee is set to ignite the stage at the Folsom Powerhouse this Friday, April 11, as she brings her rocking country sound to the iconic Historic Folsom live music venue. The event is the official video release party for her newest radio release single, “Have a Heart for a Hero.”

Renee, a singer-songwriter with Twelve-Seventeen/SSM Nashville Records, is known for an extensive catalog of modern and popular country songs, along with her originals like “Working on a Hangover” and “Good on Me,” both of which have received radio play and video syndication nationwide. Her newest original, “Have a Heart for a Hero,” was recently released for radio play.

The song is a rocking tribute to first responders, veterans, active military, and frontline workers. The soon-to-be-released video was filmed in both Folsom and Nashville, featuring a mix of Renee performing, patriotic imagery, and several Folsom area first responders—as well as some of their very popular four-legged heroes.

Written by the daughter of a former deputy sheriff who also served in the military, and as an ambassador for the locally based Hearts4Heroes USA organization, the song holds deep personal meaning for Renee. It has already touched many who have heard it performed live or streamed online. Renee welcomes any of the area’s first responders, active military, veterans, and frontline workers to Friday’s event at Powerhouse, which serves as her opportunity to recognize all of those who serve and to thank the City of Folsom and members of the Folsom Fire Department who assisted in filming the music video—now in distribution to several country music broadcast and streaming networks across the country.

“Like all of us, I am truly grateful for everyone who serves and protects us. They dedicate their lives, putting themselves in harm’s way to keep us safe, and this song is a tribute to all of them, past, present, and future,” said Renee. “I can’t thank the community of Folsom enough for all of their support, along with the Folsom Fire Department and Hearts4Heroes USA, who made it possible to film scenes for our music video right here at home. It made it very special.”

Renee is scheduled to perform on FOX40 News in the 9:00 a.m. hour on Thursday where she will be talking about Friday’s show in Folsom and the inspiration behind Have Heart for a Hero. She and her band have performed at KNCI Radio’s Country in the Park alongside artists such as Lady A and Maddie & Tae. They have opened for multi-platinum-selling artist Uncle Kracker as well as Broken Bow Records Chase Bryant and others

Locally, Renee has performed at Folsom’s Harris Center for the Arts and at numerous casinos and entertainment venues, including Red Hawk Casino, Black Oak Casino, Gold Country Casino, Sky River, and Hard Rock. Last year, Renee was one of 10 singer-songwriters nationally selected to perform in the “New York Encounter” showcase at the New York Metropolitan Pavilion.

Friday’s show is the kickstart to what promises to be a very busy 2025 concert season for Renee, with a variety of shows ahead including the Women in Country Music Festival in at Walnut Grove’s Grand Island Vineyard next month, as well as performances at the upcoming El Dorado County Fair, the Amador County Fair, the California State Fair, and a six-day series of fair performances in Wyoming later this summer.

Friday’s performance is the official TGIF early show at Powerhouse, kicking off at 7 p.m. Before the music begins, the official video for “Have a Heart for a Hero” will make its Folsom venue debut on the big screen inside Powerhouse. Once the screen rises, Renee and her four-piece band will bring the stage to life until 9:30 p.m., when Adam Aldama & The Aces take over to close out the night’s entertainment.

Following Renee’s performance, Adam Aldama & The Aces will take the Powerhouse stage at 10 p.m. Known for delivering a genre-spanning, high-energy dance party, The Aces specialize in themed tribute shows like “The Red Corvettes” (Prince), “Finesse” (Bruno Mars/Michael Jackson), and “Y2K Live” (2000s hits).
