With their signature high-energy shows and horn-driven sound, this band guarantees an unforgettable afternoon of live music.

Hailing from the Oakland/San Francisco Bay Area, the Delta Wires are a powerhouse of harmonica and horns with a rich history. They earned accolades as finalists at the Blues Foundation’s International Blues Challenge and were crowned “Best Live Band” by readers of Oakland Magazine and East Bay Express. Their significant contributions to the genre were cemented with their induction into the California Blues Hall of Fame in 2012.

The band has released eight albums, including their latest, “If Somebody Told Me…”, which has been met with glowing reviews and international airplay since its release. Over their career, they have performed at prestigious events such as the Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy, the San Francisco Blues Festival, the Monterey Bay Blues Festival (where they have performed eight times), the Shasta Blues Society’s Redding Blues by the River Festival, and the Sacramento Jazz Festival and Jubilee.

The Delta Wires have performed alongside blues legends, including Van Morrison, John Lee Hooker, Buddy Guy, and Dr. John, further solidifying their place in blues history. The band’s roots began with bandleader Ernie Pinata, who formed the Delta Wires as a college project to showcase the evolution of blues from Delta hollers to Chicago-style electric blues. Their early performances at legendary Bay Area clubs like Esther’s Orbit Room and Mandrake’s quickly earned them a devoted following. A career highlight included a surprise jam session with blues legend Lowell Fulson.
