Dignity Health Mercy Hospital of Folsom has been celebrating National Nurses Week May 6-12 with a “Light Up the Sky” display that wraps up tonight as part of the American Nurses Association’s nationwide recognition. Blue lights and 300 luminaries illuminate the hospital grounds, symbolizing the hope, healing and invaluable contributions of the Mercy Folsom nursing team. The display builds on the success of previous years as a visual testament to their dedication.
“Our nurses are the heart and soul of Mercy Folsom,” said Lisa Hausmann, MSN, RN, Hospital President and CEO at Dignity Health Mercy Hospital of Folsom. “Their expertise, empathy, and tireless efforts make a profound difference in the lives of our patients and their families. This Nurses Week, we join the American Nurses Association in expressing our deepest gratitude for their extraordinary contributions.”
Throughout the week, Mercy Folsom will host a variety of activities to celebrate its nurses and acknowledge their vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. These activities are designed to show appreciation, promote well-being, and provide opportunities for professional development.
“Nurses Week is an opportunity to not only celebrate our nurses but also to raise awareness about the critical role they play in our healthcare system,” said Karen Buckley, Chief Nursing Officer at Mercy Folsom. “Aligned with the American Nurses Association’s mission, we are committed to supporting our nurses with the resources and recognition they deserve, so they can continue to provide the highest quality care to our community
