With the return of the wet weather, Red Hawk Resort Casino plans to keep things heated up indoors this weekend with its live music entertainment series featuring two popular regional cover bands sure to get you out on the dance floor both Friday and Saturday night.

On Friday night, the entertainment kicks off at 8 p.m. with Donnie and The Wayrads taking the stage. Known for keeping the dance floor busy, the band plays classic rock hits that everyone loves. The live music continues until midnight.

Donnie and The Wayrads deliver four hours of entertainment, starting at 8 p.m. and concluding at 12 a.m. There is no cover charge for live music at Red Hawk Resort Casino, and seating is first-come, first-served for those who prefer not to dance the night away.

On Saturday night, Patton Leatha returns to the Red Hawk stage. Led by Duane Patton, Patton Leatha is known for its versatility, performing everything from sultry slow jams to upbeat funk. Their setlist includes Motown classics, R&B hits, old-school favorites, and even current Top 40 songs.

At age 11, Duane Patton was signed to CBS Records as part of the Bay Area’s Unsung Group, The Together Band. He performed at the CBS Convention Showcase alongside artists such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Barbra Streisand, Journey, and other CBS recording artists.

Under CBS Records, Patton worked with Henry Crosby, one of the producers of The Jackson 5’s ABC album. During his CBS audition, Clive Davis was among the board members who encouraged CBS to sign The Together Band.

In addition to his time with CBS, Patton signed with HDH Records (Holland-Dozier-Holland) as an artist, songwriter, and producer. He also earned a platinum album as a vocalist on Too Short’s Short Dog In The House for the song The Ghetto.

Patton’s musical journey has taken him to major casinos, including MGM Grand, Caesars Palace, Bellagio, and Thunder Valley, among others. On Saturday night, Patton Leatha will perform from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. for those ready to dance into the night.

As always, there is no cover charge for live music at Red Hawk Casino’s stage bar. Seating in the concert area is first-come, first-served for all events.
