RANCHO CORDOVA –  An early morning structure fire has displaced six residents of a duplex in Rancho Cordova Friday. 

Just before 3 a.m. on Friday, units from the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Department were dispatched to Nebula Way near the cross street of Lincoln Village Drive in Rancho Cordova after 911 calls reported a structure fire in a residence.

Upon arrival, all residents of the home had evacuated the structure with no reported injuries. As firefighters made their initial attack, heavy smoke and flames were coming from the garage space of both residences.  

Both homes were heavily damaged in the blaze. The cause of the fire remains under investigation
