EL DORADO HILLS- Firefighters from three different agencies contained an early morning fire in El Dorado Hills Friday and prevented it from extending to other homes in a well populated neighborhood.
The El Dorado Hills Fire Department was the lead agency to respond to fire on Pescara Place in Serrano. El Dorado Hills initially rolled out with three engines and one truck company. They were then assisted by two engines from Cal Fire’s Amador-El Dorado unit out of Cameron Park and an additional engine from nearby the nearby Rescue Fire Protection District.
Upon arrival to the home, firefighters were faced with a working fire that was active on both the first and second floors of the home that was currently vacant home, according to the report.
Crews quickly initiated an attack on the fire and searched the home to insure there were no occupants inside. Firefighters extinguished the fire and estimate the damage to the home to be in the neighborhood of $450,000.
The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time and no injuries were reported, according to the El Dorado Hills Fire Department.
