The El Dorado Musical Theater (EDMT) is set to make summer sizzle at Harris Center for The Arts in Folsom with the presentation of Disney’s Descendants: The Musical.
Based on the popular Disney Channel Original Movies, Disney’s Descendants: The Musical is a brandnew musical jam-packed with comedy, adventure, Disney characters, and hit songs from the films. It opens on July 8 and tickets are currently on sale.
Imprisoned on the Isle of the Lost – home of the most infamous villains – the teenaged children of Maleficent, Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella De Vil have never ventured off the island… until now.
When the four troublemakers are sent to attend prep school alongside the children of beloved Disney heroes, they have a difficult choice to make: should they follow in their parents’ wicked footsteps or learn to be good?
Disney’s Descendants is a Rising Stars Production, based on the book by Nick Blaemire with musical adaptation and vocal arrangements by Madeline Smith with orchestrations and musical production by Matthew Tishler.
The play is directed locally by Debbie Wilson with choreography my Mackenzie Haar; vocal direction by Chris Meissner; costume design by Karen McConnell and production under the lead of Chris Hobbs.
The production features performers from 6-years-old through 8th grade and is rated G for all audiences. The show runs on select days and evenings at the Harris Center from July 8 through July 16 at the Harris Center located at Folsom Lake College
The show is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
