The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office has released details about the recent arrest of local man on alleged child pornography and online solicitation of materials. The department is urging the public to come forward with any additional information as the investigation continues, as it is possible there are more victims across multiple communities.

Back on January 16, detectives arrested Antonio Calabro, 57, of El Dorado, on alleged charges related to possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The investigation began after a CyberTip was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

The Sheriff’s High-Tech Crimes Unit, in collaboration with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, uncovered digital evidence of illegal images and videos involving minors. A search warrant executed at Calabro’s residence revealed further evidence of CSAM.

According to the department, Calabro was arrested and booked into the El Dorado County Jail on multiple alleged charges, including possession of child pornography, distribution of obscene matter depicting minors, and advertising obscene material involving children. His bail was set at $95,000.
