EL DORADO HILLS – Deputies with the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office arrested an El Dorado Hills man Sunday following a commercial theft investigation involving stolen trading cards valued at approximately $2,000.
Anthony Bondura, 67, was taken into custody after deputies served a search warrant related to multiple thefts reported at the Target store in El Dorado Hills. Over recent weeks, authorities worked to identify Bondura as the suspect in the alleged thefts, which involved a series of sports-themed trading cards taken illegally from the store.
During the search, deputies recovered the stolen items and found evidence potentially linking Bondura to additional criminal activity, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Bondura was arrested on suspicion of grand theft and booked into the El Dorado County Jail in Placerville on Oct. 27.
The investigation remains ongoing
