Annual Chamber of Commerce event engages with business owners and operators to help serve future needs

The El Dorado Hills Chamber of Commerce hosted itsa Annual El Dorado Hills “Biz” Walk Wednesday afternoon, as part of their ongoing efforts to stay informed about the needs, concerns, and successes of the local business community they serve.

Over the course of the afternoon, 12 different teams of volunteers took to the streets across El Dorado Hills, paying visits to 160 different businesses. The teams consisted of chamber members, local civic leaders and others that teamed up in groups of 2-3 individuals to participate in a walking tour of various retail, commercial, and service business locations throughout the area.

Teams pounded the pavement with their surveys within their designated zones, collecting feedback to gauge the pulse and economic well-being of the business community and presenting a goodie bag of gifts from the El Dorado Hills Chamber and its sponsors. The data the volunteer teams gathered helps determine what is going on in the business community and provides insights into how the Chamber, civic leaders, and the County can retain, improve, and attract businesses to the area.

“Biz Walk is our favorite program because we hear from hundreds of local businesses in just a few hours,” explained Debbie Manning, longtime CEO of the El Dorado Hills Chamber. “Be on the lookout for the summary in the next 4-6 weeks.”
