EL DORADO HILLS – Firefighters from multiple agencies responded to the scene of what was described by the department as a fully involved house fire on Via Fiori in El Dorado Hills late Thursday night an into the early morning hours Friday.

According to the E Dorado Hills Fire Department, all of the occupants of the residence were evacuated from the structure and are safe. No injuries were reported by occupants or firefighters on the scene.

As of 11:24 p.m. Thursday, the scene remained an active fire response with a large amount of fire apparatus working in the area, and crews are expected to remain on site for several hours. Early reports by the El Dorado Hills Fire Department cite the home suffered serious damage.

“The house is a total loss, ” El Dorado Hills Fire Chief Mike Lilienthal told Folsom Times shortly after midnight after the active flames had been knocked down. According to Lilienthal, the fire required the mutual aide of multiple agencies. El Dorado Hills Fire was the lead agency on the fire and was being assisted by the Folsom Fire Department as well as additional units from the El Dorado County Fire Protection District and CalFire.

As of early Friday morning, there was no reportable information as to the cause of the fire as the investigation was forthcoming once the active fire activity had been fully contained.
