After great success last year, the El Dorado Hills Library is gearing up for for its 2024 Spring Carnival this week, a free event that is sure to provide plenty of family fun for all ages.
Guests can expect classic carnival games such as ring toss, darts and duck racing, where they can earn tickets and redeem them for prizes. All Party Art will return to offer face-painting expertise. The artists were a huge hit last year and will be back with more people in order to serve a larger number of guests. The bounce house is getting an upgrade as well and will be replaced with a bounce obstacle course. Guests can purchase lunch and treats from participating food trucks, including the returning California Gold Kettle Corn and newcomer Valenz Tacos. Spring Carnival is also open to families with little ones, and will offer a special play area for children ages 0-5, complete with toys, water play and sensory bins
Last year the library hosted more than 700 guests of all ages and eagerly looks forward to an even bigger and more energetic crowd at this year’s event. Spring Carnival is an opportunity to connect library patrons with community partners and resources.
Those that will be present this year include Community Hubs, EDC Office of Education, Catalyst Kids, U.S. Forest Service, Sierra Wildlife Rescue, Fat Kitty City, NAMI, Folsom Zoo Sanctuary and more. This event is held annually as part of El Dorado County Library’s mission of fostering community and promoting a lifelong love of the library, literacy and learning.
This free event is open to guests of all ages and will take place 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13, outside in the library’s parking lot. The El Dorado Hills Library is located at 7455 Silva Valley Parkway.
