SHINGLE SPRINGS — Students and staff at Ponderosa High School were evacuated late Monday morning after an electrical issue was reported inside the campus server room, according to the El Dorado County Fire Protection District.

Fire crews were called to the school shortly before 11 a.m. for what was initially reported as a possible fire. Upon arrival, firefighters determined there was no active fire but continued working on scene to address the electrical problem and ensure safety.
