The Historic Folsom Hometown Parade is a hit with residents and surrounding communities. This hugely successful and highly supported event will be held June 29 this year but the communities help is needed. They want your entries this year.
Planning is well underway by residents, local business owners and he Folsom Historic District Association (FHDA). The top priority for parade planners is to spread the word that entries are open for this year’s event.
“We are looking for colorful, fun and engaging floats put together by enthusiastic groups, organizations, neighborhoods and local businesses,” said the FHDAas they announced entries are now open to the event.
Past entries included Folsom City Council members, zoo docents, Folsom Police and Folsom Fire, Old West Legends, local businesses, dance crews, youth sports groups, theater groups and many more.
“The parade welcomes participation from all, with a limit of 25 individuals per group marching in the procession. However, groups are free to have additional members supporting them from the sidelines,” noted FHDA officials.
Maximum height for parade entries is 12 Feet for safety in the Historic District, which has string lights over the roadway. Cost per entry is $25 and the official entry form and complete detals can be found HERE or at www.historicfolsom.org.
