F3, which stands for Fitness, Fellowship, and Faith, is a network of free, peer-led workouts for men in regions across the world. The mission of F3 is to plant, grow, and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership.

“We have a unique opportunity to host something Folsom hasn’t really seen yet,” said Patrick Ibarra, a member of F3 South Fork. “We want to show this amazing community how guys who could be your neighbors, coworkers, or friends, are part of something special together that has changed lives, and can change theirs, too.”

The hour-long event will consist of nearly 150 men doing bootcamp-style workouts throughout areas of Folsom, starting in Old Folsom off of Sutter Street as one large group, before splitting up to run to other areas and complete exciting physical challenges there.

But F3 isn’t just about working out. It’s the fellowship that really fosters its growth.

“The workouts get a lot of guys to come out for the first time, as they figure it might be fun to run around with a guy who invited them, and it is!” Ibarra said. “But it’s the enriching conversations, and investment in each other’s personal lives through fellowship that really has them continuing to come back, and inviting other people to group after.”

The group adheres to five core principles:

• Free of charge – there is zero cost, and never a charge to workout, ever.

• Open to all men – no matter the man, all men are welcome.

• Held outdoors – rain or shine, hot or cold, year-round.

• Peer-led – led in a rotating fashion by the men who attend.

• Ends with a Circle of Trust – each workout ends with the men sharing some wise words with one another.

Tuesday’s event is just one of the many workouts ongoing. South Fork currently offers multiple workout sites each day of the week.
