The Summer of Music free concert series returns to the green one final time this this Friday, July 28 at Folsom Lions Park with the R&B sounds of the Innersoul band taking to the gazebo stage.

Presented by the Folsom Parks and Recreation District each year, the Summer of Music is a four-concert series spanning June and July at the city park, located next to the Folsom Library at 411 Stafford Street in Folsom. Friday night marks the final concert of the series.

Innersoul is a sophisticated R&B / Sacramento Old School dance band whose soulfully artistic renditions of R&B and Latin dance classics arouse dancers of all musical persuasions. The Sacramento dance band creates soulful dance grooves that are pure emotional fire! “Innersoul” has become Sacramento’s most captivating, energetic and entertaining musical group. The band’s sets are arranged to keep the audience dancing to old school and latin music.

Friday night’s entertainment will be opened and emceed by Folsom Times, Folsom’s online digital news resource that has been keeping the community informed 24/7 since February of this year and has grown in popularity to more than 400,000 average monthly readers. In addition to being the event emcees, Folsom Times will host the official “hydration” station for the event, providing the customary complimentary bottled water in partnership with the City of Folsom.

Friday’s concert is set to being at 7 p.m. and continue until 9 pm. Friday night and admission is free. Attendees should plan to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy a spot on the lawn.
